When choosing wood for burning the most important factor which has a significant effect on the amount of heat produced is the moisture content. Any water in the timber has to boil away before the wood will burn, this significantly reduces the heat output and creates lots of tars and smoke, these tars are corrosive causing potential damage to the flue lining and increasing the risk of a chimney fire. Kiln Dried Logs burn hotter and more efficiently, you will use fewer kiln dried logs to achieve the same heat output as seasoned logs.
Our Kiln Dried Hardwood Logs are dried to a moisture content of below 20% therefore achieving maximum efficiency and heat output and avoiding the need for seasoning and outdoor storage. Our Kiln Dried Logs are produced 100% from British forests and are approved on the Ready to Burn Scheme and the Biomass Supplier List (BSL), they have been tested and approved and fulfil the required standards.
Premier Logs Kiln Dried Pizza Oven Logs are cut to a standard length of approx. 13cm making them the perfect fit for small to medium sized pizza ovens including makes such as Ooni and Gozney.
Ready to Burn Certified these mini pizza logs are ready to go straight into your pizza oven for a real authentic, wood fired flavour. Sustainably sourced British hardwood, kiln dried, processed and hand pack here on site. Always remember to store the box and firelighters in dry conditions and away from fires.

A) The purpose of the Ready to Burn certification scheme is to provide a recognised quality standard for woodfuel products. Woodfuel carrying the Ready to Burn logo has been tested and proven to fulfil the required standards. Fuel quality is a vitally important consideration for anyone operating a wood burning stove; poor quality fuel is one of the main causes of faults, chimney fires, air quality issues and breakdowns.

Hardwood tends to be more dense and so heavier in weight, generally Hardwood will produce more heat and burn hotter than Softwood. You may need to burn fewer Hardwood Logs but Softwood Logs are easier to light and great if you want a fire with a lower heat output perhaps in Spring and Autumn.
