Woodsure’s Ready to Burn scheme provides customers with confidence that the products they are buying are of a high standard, they meet Woodsure’s criteria and are indeed ‘ready to burn’.  

 

Buying wood fuel certified as ‘Ready to Burn’ is important as it guarantees a moisture content of 20% or less.

 

Burning dry Ready to Burn, un-treated wood is important for fuel efficiency, safety and also the upkeep of your stove.

 

Poor quality or wet wood fuel is one of the main causes of faults, chimney fires and air quality issues.

 

It is a legal requirement that wood fuel sold in volumes of 2m3 or less is Woodsure Ready to Burn certified. This means crates, bulk bags, barrow bags, sacks and nets should all be certified as Ready to Burn and should display the Ready to Burn logo on the packaging or shelf labelling.
