Did you know that legally, wood fuel sold in volumes of 2m3 or less in the UK must be ‘Ready to Burn’ certified by Woodsure?

The Ready to Burn scheme makes it easy for people to find the cleanest fuels for burning at home. Using fuels that are approved and labelled as Ready to Burn also means it’s easy to comply with Air Quality (Domestic Solid Fuels Standards) (England) Regulations 2020 that outlaw the sale of wet wood and house coal, which are the most polluting fuels.

Why we don’t sell logs by individual species:

All of our kiln dried hardwood & softwood logs are sustainably sourced from British woodlands. This means that the amount of each species we take in each load can vary.

We do not separate our logs by individual species, we separate them into hardwood species and softwood species.

A lot of companies selling logs in individual species, such as a crate of Birch, will be selling logs imported from other countries, such as Lithuania. Meaning those logs will have travelled many miles before reaching the customer.

We source our logs as locally as possible and only ever from sustainable woodlands, meaning the woodlands and the wildlife are responsibly managed and will continue to exist for future generations.

Our processes ensure that we produce the very best quality, sustainable, Woodsure approved, ready to burn logs.
